You know what? No one reads these things anyway, but I'm going to write another journal. Why
BECAUSE IT'S FLASH FIC MONTH AGAIN PEEPS!
What is Flash Fic Month asks you, the imaginary reader?
FFM is a time of stress, creative juice overload, randomness, love, hate, joy, misery, confusion, and AWESOME.
Though more information is available at , here's a quick lowdown:
There are 31 days in July. Each day, you write a short story called a Flash Fic. Flash Fics are generally 55-1000 words long, and usually more of a braindump form of writing (i.e. don't worry too much about editing before submission).
Take this seriously, and you'll find your writing skills very much improved.
GO FORTH, MY IMAGINARY AUDIENCE! WRITE TEH FICTION!

It's me again.
Well.
It's been a while.
And I'm talking to empty space. Or, at least, I imagine I am.
Let's start again.

Nearly two-and-a-half years ago, on June 26th, I logged out of dA for what I knew would be the last time in a while. For that, and for other reasons, my heart was a bit heavy. The next day, I bid goodbye to my family (my sister first, since she had to catch classes. That stung a bit), and embarked on a two-year journey of sacrifice and self-discovery.
All I'll say about this journey is that it was a mission for the LDS Church to the Jacksonville, Florida area. If you're curious, send me a message. If not, we'll let it be.

Finished
Well, it is done. I went on a writing spree tonight and finished the last 3 sections of The Business of Murder, Reloaded. I've sent it to a few close people for feedback, but it should be up for everyone at the end of the week. It comes in at a whopping 7,112 words, fewer than I'd originally estimated but still over 7.5 times as long as the original (at 937).
Thanks again for all the support for this piece and my other work.

Update
Well, after missing my laptop for most of the week, I was finally able to sit down and get more done on BoM:R. The results? Another 300 words or so added to an old section, plus a new scene that stretched over 1500 words. So, now, at the halfway point, we're up to around 4,200. How much of this escapes editing, we shall see.
Progress
Motivated by the realization that I've only got about two weeks until I'm cut off from the internet for two years, I've picked up the work on what I'm calling The Business of Murder: Reloaded. So far, I haven't used anything from the original FlashFic. I mean, the story is essentially the same, but I'm not copying and pasting here.
I'm about a third of the way done. I have six scenes planned, and I've written the second and the fourth (not really going in any specific order. The fifth is probably next). Both of those scenes are about 1250 words, so the grand total should be somewhere around 7500, meaning this'll be the longest thing I've eve
